Admission Procedure

NEFTU follows the transparent mechanism for its admission procedure. University administers its own entrance test/personal interview and also considers its scores of national and state level entrance examinations for the selection of the candidates. Students can choose the programmes as per their eligibility from the list of offered courses. Also the list of courses offered by the University is mentioned Faculty wise on the University website and also on the admission brochures.

Steps to be followed for smooth Admission Procedure

  • Students can download the admission form from the university website or collect directly from the admission department of the university with the submission of prescribed fees.
  • Students can submit the duly filled in application form to the admission department with the following supporting documents and course fees-
  • Copies of all mark sheets and certificates
  • Address proof and any national or government issued ID Card
  • Affidavit form duly filled (available on the University website)
  • Migration certificate from the previous board/university attended
  • Five passport size photographs of the applicant

Refund Policy

Any cancellation done within 30 days before the commencement of classes will be eligible for the refund of tuition fees as under-

  • Admission cancelled between 1st to 15th days will be eligible for full refund of the tuition fees and also caution money deposited.
  • Admission cancelled between 16th to 30th day of admission will be eligible for half refund of the total course fees and caution money deposited.
  • Cancellation on or after commencement of classes will not be eligible for any refund.
  • Registration fee is non-refundable.

Credit Transfer/Lateral Entry

Lateral entry shall be allowed only in the programmes where the same is specifically mentioned. Students who are pursuing programmes from other Universities can pursue their remaining part of the programme under credit transfer scheme of the University. Hence, the candidate has to pay the lateral/credit transfer fee

Independent Study (Private Mode) Registration

A person seeking admission to appear in examination of any certificate/diploma/degree programmes as a private external student without attending the course regularly are also eligible for the select courses as per NEFTU regulations

Anti – Ragging Policy

Ragging is any disorderly conduct whether by word spoken or written or by an act which has the effect of teasing, treating or handling with rudeness. Any student, indulged in rowdy or undisciplined which cause or likely to cause annoyance, hardship or psychological harm or to raise fear or apprehension thereof in a fresher or a junior student and which has the effect of causing or generating a sense of shame or embarrassment so as to adversely affect the psyche of a fresher or junior student. Supreme Court of India has defined ragging as a criminal offence. All students taking admission in NEFTU are hereby informed to go through the guidance on anti-ragging.

Penalty for Ragging

No student who is a student of an educational institution shall commit ragging. Supreme Court of India has ordered that if any such incident of ragging comes to the notice of the authority, the concerned student shall be given liberty to explain and if his/her explanation is not found satisfactory, the authority would have the authority to expel the student from the institution.

Right to Information

The NEFTU Information Monitoring Committee has been constituted in the University to enable the public to garner information as per the provisions of the right to information Act 2005, which has, as its goal, imparting transparency and accountability in relation to all public bodies.
