Scholarship and Financial Support

There is a specific Scholarship and Stipend assistance cell in the NEFTU Administration to look after and monitor the processing of the same for the eligible students. A committee of select Faculty members aids this cell and helps the students to achieve scholarships upon the basis of their merit.

A person seeking admission to appear in examination of any certificate/diploma/degree programmes as a private external student without attending the course regularly are also eligible for the select courses as per NEFTU regulations

Scholarship Policy

The University shall offer scholarships to the meritorious candidates based on her/his academic performance in qualifying examinations prescribed by the University, 10+2 or Graduation, Rank/Score in All India/State Level Entrance/Aptitude Test and candidates possessing exemplary skills in sports, performing arts or literary skills.

Amount of Scholarship

  • 100% tuition fee waiver to the toppers (1st Rank Holder) of all the Board/University.
  • 50% tuition fee waiver as scholarship for students securing up to 4000th rank in the IIT/JEE Examination.
  • 50% tuition fee waiver as scholarship for students securing up to 100th rank in the AIEEE Examination.
  • 50% tuition fee waiver as scholarship for students securing up to 100th rank in the APJEE Examination.
  • 30% tuition fee for waiver as scholarship for economical weaker section.
  • 25% tuition fee waiver as scholarship for students securing 93% aggregate/PCM and above in class 12 or 80% marks in graduation.
  • 20% tuition fee waiver as scholarship for students securing up to 5000th rank in AIEEE Examination or students scoring at least 70% tile in CAT or above 700 marks in MAT.
  • 15% tuition fee waiver as scholarship for girls.
  • 50% tuition fee waiver as scholarship for students having secured gold medal or silver medal at the national level/state level in sports or have some exemplary achievements to their credit in the area of performing arts.

Merit-Scholarship: During A Programme

In order to encourage the students to achieve higher performance during their studies in an academic programme, the University will institute Merit scholarships for them in recognition of their academic achievements in the concerned programmes of study. These scholarships will be awarded every year from second year onwards after the declaration of the results for a period of one year.
